A Broken Heart

Sometimes God breaks your heart in order to let the light in and for you to return to Him. He is jealous for your complete and total love. His love is a burning fire, refining you, and chipping away at the excess. Remember that when you are betrayed, Jesus was too. He’s gone thru everything you’ve been thru and he’s conquered it. He goes before you. “ Weeping may go on all night, but in the morning there is joy.” - Psalm 30:5

It hurts to be conformed to the image of Christ…

It is no coincidence that my breakup happened right before Lent. It is so I can focus on Jesus’ life, death and resurrection. I am called to love without attachment right now. Distance makes the heart grow fonder, and in a strange and interesting way, I feel closer to him now then when we were together.
